Custom Feedlot

 

Different to a mainstream feedlot, our set-up allows us to truly customise unique feeding programs to enhance the marketability of your brand. Think potato chips, almonds, candies and chocolate!

It also goes without saying that at the core of our program, our nutritionists will create a custom multi-stage feeding regiment based upon: 

  • the breed, age, and weight of the cattle

  • the number of days on feed

  • the current season

 to achieve your desired goals. Crown State will then grind, blend, and feed the cattle based upon the feeding regiment while implementing a low stress management program to ensure that the cattle are happily eating every day.

Feedlot FAQ

  • Yes. We are a fully accredited NFAS (National Feedlot Association Scheme) feedlot licensed to feed 1000 heads of cattle.

  • Days on feed is largely determined by your end goal and can range from 30 days as a finisher up to 400+ days for a Full Blood Wagyu. It is highly recommended that you reach out to us so that we may properly assess your needs and requirements.

  • We normally use a barley based feed blended with four other crops, cereals and fibre to ensure all nutritional requirements are met.
